Game I am soon to develop

Hey everyone! I just want to let you all know that eventually I'm going to be making games and would like to know if anyone is interested in playtesting them when the time comes. I will be attending college in the fall so I'm definitely going to be creating games to build up my portfolio so I can potentially get a job after graduation. Thanks!

  • I am sure you will find interested individiduals here (myself included), make sure to keep us updated on developments. Feel free to tag me when you reply. This is how it is done: @"Rec. Bustos".

  • I am very interested, feel free to tag me aswell and keep me posted! @"Rec. Bustos"

  • Thanks very much and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as development goes on. @"Sgt. Peroni" @"PFC Eckhardt"

    Here's a link to a web browser game: https://bustosman.itch.io/flash-flush
Beware the graphics may look choppy and make sure to read the instructions before playing. It's in its own prototyping phase at the moment. @"Sgt. Peroni" @"PFC Eckhardt"

  • Unfortunately I wasn't able to test it for you as the above is my current view, so I only have a few moments before it's game over.

  • Kind of confusing, how can I keep the blue object in the air? I played it for a bit but I don't really get how it works. Might just be a dumbass, but yeah, don't really get it. If you could explain how it works, that would be great @"Pvt. Bustos"

The blue object is pretty much the water that's descending until the player touches the white floor. All you have to do as the player is collect as many things, as long as they aren't the spheres, as possible. @"PFC Eckhardt [Ret.]" And for you @"PFC Kiostri", it should be working fine I think, maybe reload your page if that helps.

  • Here is the most current version of the game: https://bustosman.itch.io/flash-flush
And if the water is all gone and nothing happens, the point is to restart and get a higher score. @"Sgt. Peroni" @"PFC Eckhardt [Ret.]" @"PFC Kiostri"

  • Interesting.
The sound is intrusive. I couldn't find options to turn the sound down or off.

  • Here is a final version of the game: https://bustosman.itch.io/flash-flush This time the sound is turned down.

  • Could you implement a highscore or is it the final final version? @"Pvt. Bustos"

  • I am liking it so far the only thing is when the game ends I think it should restart automatically not me having to do so.

  • I switched from Chrome to Firefox and it seemed to fix the problem of it not loading or loading incorrectly. Overall I thought it was a good concept.

  • Final version @"PFC Eckhardt [Ret.]"

  • Well hey everybody, I got to work on a new game some months ago and I will put a link to it shortly. I think I'll make a build of it and zip it in a file as well as make it playable in the browser. It's called Waterstreak, and is primarily a stealth game where you must avoid being seen by the enemy AI until you reach the end of the level. @"Cpl. Pepper" @"PFC Eckhardt" @"Cpt. Hill" @"T5 Kiostri" @"SSgt. Peroni"

  • Excited to play it!

Once you extract the zip file, to play the game open the Waterstreak application file.
    Instructions:
WASD - movement, A turns left while D turns right
    SPACE - jump
B button - activate burst mode which increases your speed
C button - deactivate burst mode, to reactivate burst mode press B button again
The only bug with reactivating burst mode is that it doesn't increase your speed again

The game is in its prototyping phase at the moment, so there's only an empty area with a couple walls and a big red, moving cube. :)
Feedback is appreciated. @"Cpl. Pepper" @"PFC Eckhardt" @"Cpt. Hill" @"T5 Kiostri" @"SSgt. Peroni"

I just started it up, what exactly do you have to do?

Also I'd prefer to have the camera being free instead of pinned to the cube so when you turn it doesn't turn with you, also I am not able to jump for some odd reason, tried restarting it multiple times but still can't jump. It would also be good if you could make a menu in which you can go back to menu, quit game, etc.

Yeah I'll make sure to add menus soon, but there's actually an ongoing issue where if you run into the wall, you'll be prevented from being able to jump again. I'll soon make a fix for that, but if you can't jump at all I'll look into it.

And for now there isn't much to do in the game besides moving around the level. Right now there is functionality for ending the game, but it hasn't been implemented just yet.

  • Yeah I tried to jump right at the beginning and it worked, also the jumping doesn't work after I activated the burst, even after I deactivate it, I'm still not able to jump for the rest of the session.

@"PFC Eckhardt" Check out this link again and download the Build V.2 zip file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1utGAYPffab8RdsJ4GmIMZFNAabn5B9yQ?usp=sharing Also let me know if you have trouble jumping after activating the burst mode again. I added a pause menu (press escape) where you can either resume or quit, and a menu will pop up if you become in the AI's line of sight. So try to hide from the AI this time.
