4/10 Simply because of a few things.

    1. Not a lot of ammunition(22, 18, respectively. You destroy 22 targets, and 18 buildings, but then what?)

    2. Multi-turrets. There's a reason the concept of multi-turreted tanks died out after the start of the Second World War. Imagine trying to command a group of 4 in a cramped steel box and you don't have any vision. Now imagine trying to command a crew of 10 in an even more cramped steel box when you don't know where they are looking or if they're shooting at something else.

    3. Extremely slow. 25km/h? Seriously?

    4. -2 degrees of gun depression. Russian tanks have better gun depression than that, and the Russian tanks have terrible gun depression.

    5. Weight. 319 tonnes? Ridiculous. The Maus was just 131 tonnes lighter than that, and it was too heavy for roads and bridges.

And now for something completely different.

Opinion: Favourite post-war American tank. Based on the M26 Pershing, which saw action in both the Second World War and the Korean War. (Meaning it can be in Darkest Hour.) Differences between the M26 and M46 are basically the M46 has better reliability and mobility than the M26. The M26 wasn't used much in the Second World War because of reliability issues. It was only standardised in March of 1945, after a month of testing. Even then, the Army did not like it that much(transmission was overloaded, engine as well; used the same transmission and engine as the M4A3, which was a 30tonne tank.).

    The Rheinmetall-Borsig Waffenträger

Developed by the Rheinmetall-Borsig company and designed as a special artillery carrier. The vehicle was designed to carry an artillery system as well as to fire from the chassis. The vehicle utilized the suspension of the Hetzer tank destroyer. Development continued from the end of 1942 through to the middle of 1944. However, the project was discontinued in favor of the Ardelt project because of a complicated design, high cost, and excessive weight.

  • @PFC Ismael Psst! Don't forget to rate 0-10 about the vehicle above you!

    WIKI Information:

The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Schwalbe (German: "Swallow") in fighter versions, or Sturmvogel (German: "Storm Bird") in fighter-bomber versions, was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.[5] Design work started before World War II began, but engine problems, metallurgical problems and top-level interference kept the aircraft from operational status with the Luftwaffe until mid-1944. The Me 262 was faster, and more heavily-armed than any Allied fighter, including the British jet-powered Gloster Meteor.[6] One of the most advanced aviation designs in operational use during World War II,[7] the Me 262 was used in a variety of roles, including light bomber, reconnaissance, and even experimental night fighter versions.

Me 262 pilots claimed a total of 542 Allied kills,[8] although higher claims are sometimes made.[Note 1] The Allies countered its potential effectiveness in the air by attacking the aircraft on the ground and during takeoff and landing. Engine reliability problems, from the pioneering nature of its Junkers Jumo 004 axial-flow turbojet engines—the first ever placed in mass production—and attacks by Allied forces on fuel supplies during the deteriorating late-war situation also reduced the effectiveness of the aircraft as a fighting force. In the end, the Me 262 had a negligible impact on the course of the war as a result of its late introduction and the consequently small numbers put in operational service.[10]

While German use of the aircraft ended with the close of the Second World War, a small number were operated by the Czechoslovak Air Force until 1951. Captured Me 262s were studied and flight tested by the major powers, and ultimately influenced the designs of a number of post-war aircraft such as the North American F-86 Sabre and Boeing B-47 Stratojet.[7] A number of aircraft have survived on static display in museums, and there have also been several privately built flying reproductions.

  • 7/10 i like the plane for its style and ingenuity but various flaws including huge problems with engine and fuel system proved them not totally effective
