  • Hey there Cpl., I'm covering the same thing right now in maths, and will do my best to help:

Firstly, you can substitute x=-x, giving you:
    enter image description here
From there, rationalise the expression to:
    enter image description here
Then, multiply and divide by x:
    enter image description here
    Then divide again:
    enter image description here
After this, use the knowledge that the limit of the quotient is the quotient of the limits, if that makes sense, to do the following:
    enter image description here
Again, use the fact that the limit of the difference is the difference of the limits:
    enter image description here
Limit of a constant is equal to the constant:
    enter image description here
    Apply the constant multiple rule:
    enter image description here
    Cheeky rearrange:
    enter image description here
    Lim(Constant) = Constant:
    enter image description here
    Constant/Large number = 0:
    enter image description here
    Another cheeky rearrange:
    enter image description here
    Again, Lim(constant) = constant:
    enter image description here
Move the limit under the power:
    enter image description here
    Lim(Diff)=Sum(Limits):
    enter image description here
    Lim(Constant)=Constant:
    enter image description here
    Apply constant multiple rule again:
    enter image description here
    Third cheeky rearrange:
    enter image description here
    Again, Lim(Constant)=Constant:
    enter image description here
    Constant/Large number = 0:
    enter image description here
    Apply constant multiple rule:
    enter image description here
    Cheeky rearrange:
    enter image description here
    Lim(Constant)=Constant:
    enter image description here
    Constant/Big number = 0:
    enter image description here
    So, therefore:
enter image description here=-9/2 or -4.5

Hope this helps, took me a while to type it out so may be a bit messy and confusing. Good luck in your exams :)

  • Sounds delightful! thank you!

Literally, Maths was slaying me back in high school and this is PTSD-triggering af

Considering we have a lot of school-age members, I don't think why not.

Also because I suck at Maths too lmao

  • If we only had homework assistance when I was in Highschool. I've might not have been kicked out lol

I've proofread and edited squad members homework assignments on more than one occasion. If it helps them make drills a good leader/squadmate should help out!
