2Lt. Derbyshire has spent his last six years in the shadow of a great great man: Cpt. Patty is a hard act to follow. But now, free of his choking presence, a golden era has arrived, where 2Lt. Derbyshire is free to tread his own path and write his own destiny. Unshackled and filled with the promise of a brighter tomorrow for Baker, we can celebrate 2Lt. Derbyshires promotion to the rank of the First Lieutenant together with his 12th Army of Occupation Medal and 3rd World War I Victory Medal with the hope of things to come.
