Promotion and Award (Nicholas A. Mellinger)

If I'm being honest, I don't really remember when I first began talking with Cpl. Mellinger. I do remember him being a PFC back in EP3, but I can't really pinpoint when I started talking to the guy...might have been when he entered SLT? Regardless, all of that is irrelevant because I don't care for his time before leadership; what matters is the impact he has had in both EP3 and EP4. Let me tell you this, in five years of being here, few people have stuck out as one of a kind when it comes to leadership, Cpl. Mellinger is one of these guys. He is so incredibly bad at his job it's insane. Gotcha, I was crossing my fingers. All "jokes" aside, he has been an integral part of the EP3 and EP4 expansions with his leadership skills. Not only does he run an excellent squad, but he has trained multiple ASLs at this point and is an integral part of Quartermaster. He is friendly often but can be stern and leader-like when he needs to be. He is also a reason as to why Easy Company is now enjoying pub scrims. His taste in anime may be questionable; however, his taste in discipline is outstanding. I could not ask for a better work ethic than what he has provided. Due to these reasons, the time has come to make him a big boy. Company HQ and I believe that he is ready for Sergeant. In addition, he is a huge part of Quartermaster Corps and truthfully, I wouldn't have been able to revive the YouTube channel as quickly and efficiently as I did without him. I truly cannot emphasis enough how irreplaceable he is to QM. Because of this, he will be awarded the Armed Forces Service Medal. Congratulations, Sgt. Mellinger!
