Interesting instrument with a cool sound. I love Pink Floyd and "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" as a song is easily a 10/10.
Chicago - "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?"
Chicago reminds me of a better time when life wasn't so chaotic and complicated like these modern times we live in. a Solid 8.5/10
Here's one for the metal heads. Brazil's power metal pride, Angra - Carry on.
John Mayer - Gravity
The gravity starts at 1:40
Not that many guitarists play with this level of passion. Heavenly performance! Blows the studio version out of the water!
Need I say more? 10/10 !
Van Morrison - "Into the Mystic"
keeping up the Van Morrison but this time with The Band.
The Band - 4% Pantomime (Alternative Cut)
Because this went viral recently.
Fleetwood Mac - "Dreams"
Power Metal time
Galneryus - Destiny (Live)
Not my genre but 10/10 purely for talent and skill. Damn they got skill.
Woodkid- The Golden Age (Live)
10/10 - Damn! He's really good live! Beautiful orchestration too!
The Doobie Brothers - "Listen to the Music"
That's pretty cool! Another song to my liked playlists. 9.25/10.
Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 - Lost in Paradise
Very nice to listen to. Not necessarily playlist material for me, but didn't feel like skipping at any point. Interesting choice of using dissonance in the vocal melody (hear 1:01). Dissonance can sound really cool if applied in the right places, and this song is a clear example of that.
Goo Goo Dolls - "Sympathy"
(I just can't get enough of John Rzeznik's voice.)
IS THIS THE FIRST PICTURE V. PICTURE/RATE WHAT THE PERSON ABOVE YOU IS LISTENING TO CROSSOVER!?
William Shatner - 'Rocket Man' (1978)
5/10 - Funny, but I prefer singing instead of talking.
Now for a song that was released this year, but still sounds like it was recorded in the late 90s:
beabadoobee - "Care"
(P.S. I now see I forgot to give a specific rating for PFC Ortiz' song. I was going to give it 7/10 btw.)
In honour of Remembrance Day
Pink Floyd: The Wall - When The Tigers Broke Free
8/10 (Good movie too!)
AC/DC - "Shot in the Dark"
A track from their 18th studio album which will be released today. It's titled Power Up.
9/10 They always get your foot tapping at least
Cold Chisel - "Khe Sanh"
I don't know man, just makes me smile.
The Band - I Shall Be Released
7/10 - Beautiful vocals, though nowhere near as catchy as "The Weight".
Prince - "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man"
[A small correction from my previous post: "Power Up" is AC/DC's 17th, not 18th studio album.]
Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye (Live on KEXP)
Cigarettes After Sex - K (Live on KEXP)
Gerry and the Pacemakers - Ferry Cross the Mersey
I was only 19 - John Schumann
Eagles - "Visions"
This is the only Eagles track to feature guitarist Don Felder on lead vocals.
7/10 Is like an Eagles and Elton John hybrid.
This is such a strange music video though XD
0/10 - Tsk tsk - a platoon clerk who doesn't follow the correct format?
Esben and the Witch - "Eumenides" (Live in Brighton, 2011)
5/10 - Too "avant-garde" for my taste.
AC/DC - "Shoot to Thrill"
My favorite song by them.
10/10 - That song slaps man. Never get old.
Green Day - 21 Guns
Song that got me into Green Day.
8/10 - Gets me back to my younger days.
That brings me to this:
Billie Joe Armstrong & Norah Jones - Long Time Gone
8/10 - The Green Day singer's voice fits surprisingly well for this kind of music. A pleasant surprise!
Because it's now December:
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - "Christmas All Over Again"
