Only War Roleplay - To The Skies!
So I've been having all these roleplay books of mine just laying around gathering dust and I've been staring at some stories and backgrounds people go with. For a moment I thought since GM's can turn a game around to suit what they're going for but making sure it remains completely balanced I figure I might as well have a crack at it. To any roleplayers on here just tell me what you think of this kind of regiment. The idea popped in me head when I thought about B-17 bomber formations and mixing 40K in with it.
I've also tried to keep the regiment as stuck to being pilots as much as I could. Thus the reason behind heavy bolters and las pistols being the regimental favoured weapons.

A 40k RP might be interesting; I haven't done anything like it before, I just play the table-top game with the figures.
I'm up for it if it's going to happen.
I've just been messing with the story for the timebeing so it might be a while before I get to finishing it. Plus I threw the idea on the roll20 forums to see what some of the roleplay veterans say and it had a rather positive feedback. It just needs a real good idea put behind it to make it work.
Saying idea I mean a generally good backstory to use these guys. Any important characters to do with the regiment or anyone affiliated with them. And a few other things.
Sounds really interesting, I will be keeping an eye on this
I might be interested! You should definitely take inspiration from Baron von Richthofens Flying Circus, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdgeschwader_1_(World_War_I)
Really cool group of enthusiasts who did cool stuff with their planes in WW1, moving from battlefield to battlefield.
