“TSgt Newton has led FP1 since its inception and was acting Platoon Leader during this Scrimmage’s conception. Seeing as we had an excellent leader and circumstances outside of our control delayed the scrim we saw no reason to change our leadership after 2Lt Tremblay’s promotion. He lead FP1 to victory in both rounds of an official Scrimmage and to redemption from our past outing against SquadOps and is awarded the Legion of Merit for his exemplary service.” - 2Lt Tremblay

“Nothing is more difficult for a CE than to hit a fast moving vehicle when you’ve only had precious seconds to reach your position and load a rocket. Add to this situation a complete lack of optics and then isolate that CE and nine out of ten times you’ll just have a callout and a miss. T/5 Logan however is what we like to call “Built Different” I could not tell you how many hours in his extensive Squad playtime aren’t accomplished by him just sitting in a server plinking rockets until he’s confident he can hit almost anything. This kind of dedication pays off whenever I deploy him and is representative of his Expert Combat Engineer badge. I say all of this because nothing is more devastating than losing a squad and a transport before 2 minutes have elapsed in a round, and that is exactly the scenario T/5 Logan put SquadOps in on their attack. Beyond this he decided he wasn’t done with the attackers. Once the rest of their team dismounted they tried in vain to get revenge for their fallen comrades. They pushed T/5 Logan’s position and he expertly defended himself and our area of control by dropping 3 more of their numbner. For this exemplary display in the face of overwhelming numbers out on the fringe of our defense I see fit to award T/5 Logan with the Silver Star.” - 2Lt Tremblay
Private, First Class Tim A. Finan
PFC Finan has participated in his first official scrimmage and is therefore eligible for his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award. In addition, for being a part of a two round scrimmage in which both rounds were a victory he will receive the World War II Victory Medal.“When FP1 asked for brave souls to be willing to sacrifice their lives for the cause, only a select few were willing to raise their hands and be part of the first wave of suicide bombers to be unleashed against SquadOps. PFC Finan was one such individual though. He volunteered to have an IED strapped to his back in case his squad was able to clear enough space to the objective in FP1’s initial push. And it was a good thing that PFC Finan was one of the soldiers to raise his hand, as his squad faced some adversity during our attack. FP1S2 had a difficult path through the city of Mutaha with their eastern flank vulnerable to the enemy the entire way to the objective. While S2 was able to push their way through the city they continued to sustain losses throughout the round from those in their path and those outside our limit of advance on the east side of the city. PFC Finan was determined to not let that stop him however. Despite losing his squad leadership and much of the rest of his squad, PFC Finan was able to take over control of S2 and get them moving north past the enemies that had been giving S2 trouble. After clearing enough enemies to get within sprinting distance of the objective, he saw an opening to get the objective before the rest of the enemy team could fall back. PFC Finan called this out to the team in command chat and this helped us coordinate a well timed rush onto the objective. Then, in conjunction with fire from S1 and S3, he gathered what was left of S2 and charged across the street straight into the enemy held objective. Although they lost a man along the way, S2 and PFC Finan made it to the objective where he called 2Lt. Tremblay to detonate the IED strapped to him which caused the objective, as well as himself, to be blown to bits. This came at the cost of his life of course, but directly led to the success of FP1’s attack. For his actions I think it is only fitting that PFC Finan be awarded an Army Commendation Medal.” - 2Lt. Private, First Class Reid Bishop
PFC Bishop has participated in his first official scrimmage and is therefore eligible for his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award. In addition, for being a part of a two round scrimmage in which both rounds were a victory he will receive the World War II Victory Medal.“PFC Bishop is one of those guys who is quiet, efficient and is part of the longstanding institution of degenerates that make up FP1S2. One other trait that he posseses is that when left to his own devises he quite often finds a way to become very, very deadly. SquadOps had the great misfortune of finding this out the hard way on their attack round during our scrim. Usually scouts sent out to the far reaches of our defences are expected to get a good call out perhaps make a pick or two and then become worthy of a purple heart. PFC Bishop however when confronted with insurmountable enemy numbers, no nearby support and certain death… chose violence and delivered spectacularily. Using his AIT masterfully he alone took on and then took out 6 of SquadOps’ attacking force. Making him one of the single largest contributors to our defence and certainly was part of the reason we won so decisesively. For this exceptional play where many others would have failed or came short, I see fit to award him the Bronze Star” - 2Lt. Tremblay

"FP1’s drills fall into an awkward time slot for most folks, so I had a little bit of apprehension when it came to preparing for FP1’s scrim against SquadOps. We sometimes struggle for guests and I had some concerns that this would affect our ability to practice together as a platoon. However, PFC Melero made sure to take the time out of his schedule to come and guest as many drills as he could for FP1 to help us prepare. So much so in fact that PFC Melero attended nearly 100% of all the drills FP1 hosted in preparation for the scrim, including the 2nd round of prep done after the scrim was postponed. Without folks like PFC Melero we would not have been able to get the sufficient practice to win as we did and for that he shall be receiving his first Good Conduct Medal." - TSgt Newton
Private, First Class Garrick L. Roland
"During the preparation for FP1’s scrim PFC Roland proved himself to be a total machine by consistently giving FP1 the business at our drills. And by consistently, I mean at literally 100% of them. Every single time FP1 was there to practice, so was PFC Roland. Not many guests were willing to put in the extra time and effort to show up at all the prep, and make his presence felt. However, PFC Roland did and this went a long way in aiding FP1 as we needed all the guests we could get to properly prepare for this scrim. For his efforts in supporting FP1 I think it is appropriate that PFC Roland receive his first Good Conduct Medal." - TSgt Newton
Our Defense was similar to our offense. The perfect example of good planning and execution. We kept the majority of our forces tight to our chest in order to avoid the enemy being able to copy our own plan. We sent several scouts ahead in the form of FP1S2 in the North and FP1S3 in the south. These squads had the orders to fall back at a moment’s notice if the objective was threatened. When the enemy began their push they came out of the north in force. T/5 Logan got ready as soon as the callout was made. With his rockets he eliminated a transport carrying an entire enemy squad. This left the enemy down a lot of manpower for the demanding push through S2. S3 was pushed out east and up towards the blue fob radius to meet the threat as the enemy circled us clock wise trying to probe into the city. A detached party of their men tried to no avail to get past PFC Bishop who went on to annihilate their attack. When things looked grim they pushed their Stryker into the city in a panic. The unfortunate vehicle crashed right into 2Lt Tremblay’s mines. From there the enemy had no choice but to filter in and get picked off one by one by our brave defenders. The round ended quickly with no true threats being posed to the objective.
