PFC D. Wells has becoming a very important member of DP3S3, becoming literally irreplaceable at this point. Being the only combat engineer certainty makes your name known throughout a squad, platoon, and company, because whenever you get blown up, or need something blown up, its probably PFC D. Wells that is going to do it. PFC D. Wells is also an innovator, using the forsaken buckshot shotgun shell rounds for the M79 “Thumper” Grande Launcher has moved from more of a funny meme amongst the platoon, to a deadly room-clearing weapon. PFC D. Wells’ performance and attendance is consistent across the board, and his passion and enthusiasm for improving himself and helping others cannot be understated. It has been a pleasure and privilege to work with PFC D. Wells throughout his career, and it is exciting to see him continue on to get the conveted “Rainbow” 4th AOCC award next time.
