Sergeant Jake Lee

Sergeant Jake Lee has participated in his first official scrimmage and is, therefore, eligible to receive his WWII Victory Medal for being a part of a two-round scrimmage in which both rounds were victories. In addition, Sgt. Lee is being awarded his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award.

On the attack, Sgt. J. Lee was a major asset in helping coordinate what remained of our forces after the unexpected ambush in the Charlie objective when DTF accidentally broke starting location rules. He coordinated the entire western attack from an on-the-ground perspective as S2 took major casualties in their attack. Sgt. Lee coordinated with members on where to push and for them to get into locations. Sgt. Lee’s efforts were a major contribution to the team’s victory as the attack round came down very close and his on-the-ground leadership, knowledge, and skill helped keep members alive for the final push which proved invaluable in capturing the objective. Sgt. Lee did exactly what we would expect from our members and if we had the ability to see through his eyes, many members would learn a lot through him. Sgt. Lee will be receiving the Bronze Star for his efforts.

Sgt. J. Lee put a lot of time into attending almost all scrim preps as well as helping and assisting squads and individuals in order to improve the platoon. Sgt. Lee quickly made a scrim attendance sheet which was highly useful when creating the scrim roster and allowed us to quickly sort out members based on the effort they were putting in. For this, Sgt. Lee is being rewarded a Good Conduct Medal.

Cpl. Sablon was one of the best defenders was had during our defense round. He and his squad were positioned on the west side of Bravo and took the brunt of DTF’s attack. Cpl. Sablon was highly mobile on the battlefield and was able to rapidly reposition engagement after engagement racking up multiple kills while coordinating members around him. He was in constant communication with platoon leadership and the team regarding the details of our opponents and their positions. Cpl. Sablon even went on to save Sgt. Tilley who was trapped by an enemy after Sgt. Tilley called out and communicated with Cpl. Sablon. At the end of the defense round, Cpl. Sablon would survive with five confirmed kills. Cpl. Sablon’s skills and abilities significantly hindered DTF’s ability to attack. Cpl. Sablon was a major contributor to the slaughtering of DTF’s attack on the west which resorted them in abandoning that strategy.

T/5 Scovel put an exceptional amount of time into the scrim while also remaining highly active within his own platoon. He attended 15 of the 17 total practices with the only two missed practices occurring during his mandatory platoon drills. T/5 Scovel went above and beyond by making a callouts map within days of the scrim being announced. T/5 Scovel went even further and booted up An Lao Valley in the RS2 SDK and looked at the map’s hitboxes and found unique and helpful spots. Some of these spots ended up being used by members who were able to get kills using them. Lastly, T/5 Scovel was excellent at giving advice and promoting improvement for members of DP2. For this, he will be receiving a Good Conduct Medal.

Vu has participated in his first official scrimmage and is, therefore, eligible to receive his WWII Victory Medal for being a part of a two-round scrimmage in which both rounds were victories. In addition, PFC Vu is being awarded his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award.

On the attack round, DP2S2 entered into an ambush in the C3 grid square and sustained heavy casualties resulting in PFC Vu and T/4 Chandon being the only survivors. PFC Vu returned fire, eliminating one enemy in the village. From there, he linked up with T/4 Chandonnet, pushing North past the waterfall bridge in D3. He then pushed East, taking out five more enemies, single-handedly clearing out the NW section. In doing so he effectively completed S2’s objective. Once the other squads were in position, he moved East with T/4 Chandonnet, until he was unfortunately killed by an MG from a long angle. That MG was the last obstacle holding up the other squads and was killed by another member shortly after PFC Vu’s death. PFC Vu single-handedly continued and completed S2’s objective in a two-man squad which eight members were assigned to accomplish. PFC Vu got his entire squad’s worth of kills racking up six kills before dying. With the attack round starting off so poorly as it did for DP2. I can assure you that without his effort, the entire northern flank would’ve been filled with hostiles and easily could’ve killed most of our attacking forces down in the D-line. PFC Vu is one of the sole reasons why our attack was able to be successful. With this, PFC Vu is receiving the Silver Star.

Private, First Class Alrikr K. Rose

Private, First Class Alrikr K. Rose has participated in his first official scrimmage and is, therefore, eligible to receive his WWII Victory Medal for being a part of a two-round scrimmage in which both rounds were victories. In addition, PFC Rose is being awarded his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award.

PFC Rose was one of the first members to receive contact when DTF unexpectedly engaged us near the Charlie objective. In coordination with other members, he cleared out the Charlie objective and paved the path for the rest of our team toward our objective. PFC Rose was on the front line the entire match, communicating with leadership, and providing good information to the team. He was constantly involved in skirmishes and was one of the first members to enter the objective near the end. It is PFC Rose’s efforts that allowed our attack to operate as efficiently as it did following the disappointing start. PFC Rose is being awarded a Bronze Star.

Private, First Class Brian D. Montgomery

Private, First Class Brian D. Montgomery has participated in his first official scrimmage and is, therefore, eligible to receive his WWII Victory Medal for being a part of a two-round scrimmage in which both rounds were victories. In addition, PFC Monty is being awarded his Combat Infantry Badge, 1st Award.

On the defense, PFC Monty was with a small group of soldiers positioned in the C3 village that made first contact with the enemy as they spearheaded their attack up the western side of the map. PFC Monty was in a concealed position overlooking the river crossing and the Western bank of the river north of the Charlie objective. Upon seeing contacts, PFC Monty held his fire, in an attempt to wait for a better ambush opportunity on more enemy soldiers. However, as the enemy closed in and PFC Monty saw enemies observing his position, he elected to open fire, killing one enemy before retreating with the rest of the friendly force in C3 back to the area east of Alpha. Once the attackers pushed past Alpha, they were met once again by a hail of fire from PFC Monty in a concealed position. He took out another two attackers and fell back once more, this time to a position covering the northern passage, which the enemies were using to move east. From this position, he killed another two attackers. As the enemies became more aggressive pushing in Bravo cap from the West, PFC Monty rose to fall back once more but was killed by an enemy on the ridge. PFC Monty would end with a total of five kills on the defense and would be the second most influential member of DP2 in the defense. His efforts along with Cpl. Sablon would eliminate DTF’s ability to attack the western side which resulted in them abandoning the plan. For his efforts, PFC Monty is receiving an Army Commendation Medal.

PFC Luu attended 18 of the 20 total scrim preps and put in a considerable amount of effort helping DP2 practice. Whenever a balancing of numbers was needed, PFC Luu always volunteered. He put an exceptional amount of time and effort into the scrim practice. For this, PFC Luu is receiving a Good Conduct Medal.
