Cpl. McArdle started with the 29th at the young age of 15, earning himself a nickname that has evolved now that he’s come of age. This award isn’t about that, it’s about his age here with the 29th, and that age is 2 years and 6 months. He’s been around the block a few times now and has his fair share of ups and downs, but his persistence has landed him leadership of FP2S1. Not only is he a model 29ther, he’s an upstanding individual and outstanding squad leader. As his ASL I am constantly impressed by the way he conducts himself and keeps his composure when up against difficult odds. I suspect that the future will hold many more awards for Cpl. McArdle as he continues to grow with the 29th. Congratulations on a quarter decade Cpl. McArdle!
