The 29th ID joined forces with various communities from FNF in a series of 2 events against the OFCRA community. The event on the 25th of November was held on OFCRA servers, with their modset, rules and mission template. With the playfield spanning more than the vegetated area on Anizay, and objective structured around securing VIPs from hotspots and bringing them to the respective team’s secure area, the 29th ID was deployed on the western flank along communities such as the 4th Infantry Brigade. After securing our planned targets, the western forces withdrew to a temporary staging point, which turned into a small fortess when the OFCRA forces scouted out and assaulted the position. By then, the 29th detachment was sent to help out Scandi Recon in the north, but got caught up in an elongated contact exchange, which reduced both elements’ fighting capabilities massively. Nearing the end of the round, what remained of the FNF coalition moved north attempting to retake their lost capture sector, while the remainder of 29th forces skirmished close to the enemy point. the OFCRA community secured their victory on that day.One week later, on the 2nd of December, the 29th once again deployed alongside many FNF communites, this time on FNF servers, modset and rules. The first round saw a classic non-sequential sector capture scenario, where the 29th Delta 1 detachment saw significant action upon first contact, and later moved around the map to flank and assist in the capture of both sectors. The sides flipped going into round 2, with the 29th now defending 3 VIPs in a small area against the OFCRA attack. Our Delta detachment bravely fought against the enemy assault in a central position around the objective. As the fighting progressed, Bluefor forces regrouped and attempted a pincer attack from North and South simultanuesly, however the FNF line stood strong thwarting the attack. The 29th, as well as all of FNF stood victorious that day.
For their participation and professional conduct during this event, the following soldiers will receive the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
