2Lt. Sutera said:
During the deployment of 2Lt. Sutera’s second OCS Scrim, FP2S2 was tasked with a rearguard motion while the rest of FP2 moved up. During this time PFC Hollens called out one of the objectives from far away which allowed FP2 to eliminate it without taking much contact. Eventually, S2 was tasked with reinforcing the main attack which saw PFC Hollens quickly eliminate two defenders. After clearing objective area one, PFC Hollens as well as most of S2 moved west to overlook the fields to the second objective area. During this period he quickly and effectively called out the enemy defenders’ positions which allowed the friendly vehicles to score a couple of kills. On the approach to the enemy compound, S2 bounded through the enemy movement restrictions and set up a base of fire near the roadblock. S2 then quickly assaulted over the road and was able to secure a part of the city which allowed the squad to destroy the second objective. Things took a turn for the better once the counter-attack began in which PFC Hollens was set up with his AR watching the eastern front. During the assault, the attackers were quickly called out by PFC Hollens and he was able to set up in a defensive position, lying in wait. The enemy quickly came up to the compound in which the PFC was located in and he then started to engage the enemy in close-quarters combat. The PFC was able to quickly and effectively clear out his compound and then set up to watch enemies attacking a different compound. During this tense time frame, PFC Hollens killed five enemy attackers resulting in the remaining enemy infantry to be completely destroyed. Without the efforts and skills of PFC Hollens, the defenders wouldn’t have been as successful as they were.
