AOCC’s are a lot like birthdays in the 29th, with the exception that they come around just a little bit faster. They are milestones in your 29th career where leadership checks in and tells everyone about how much you’ve grown since your last one. Why am I rambling philosophically about AOCC’s being birthdays? Because if we count all of PFC Sanzotera’s AOCC’s as birthdays, his service jacket is now old enough to operate a motor vehicle unsupervised. Meaning Sanz has been with the 29th for sixteen AOCC’s, or eight years for those of you who suck at math like I do. Hamfisted attempts at witty banter aside, PFC Sanz has been with us for a significant amount of time. And throughout all of that time, he has distinguished himself as an excellent member of the 29th. There are few people who spend as much time on Rising Storm 2 as PFC Sanz these days. Whether that be training his piloting skills on Highway 14 for hours on end, guesting more than anyone else in his entire platoon, or working on some project or another with myself and Cpl. Frank. Sanz is always up to something, either bettering himself or those around him. And if I’m honest, I feel like a broken record when I talk about how excellent PFC Sanz is to have around, because he’s been this way for eight years, and everyone in Dog Company knows what a swell guy he is. What I can tell you is that PFC Sanz routinely makes my time here in the 29th better for all his efforts. It is immensely enjoyable to have someone as earnestly interested in improving their gameplay every day and trying to share their experience with everyone around them. So thank you for always going the extra mile PFC Sanz, and congratulations on 8 years with the unit. And your 16th AOCC and quadruple rainbow to commemorate it.
