Enlistment - Rec. Mason

Read the enlistment details at:

https://personnel.29th.org/#enlistments/14580

Recruit Mason,

  1. Please select a realistic and appropriate first name to use within the unit. The 29th requires both first and last names for our members.
  2. There is a member in the unit already using the last name “Mason”. In order to avoid confusion, you will need to use a prefix. This prefix will be the first initial of your chosen first name. For example, if you chose “John” as your first name you would go by “J. Mason” within the unit. Alternatively, you may choose a different realistic and appropriate last name.
  3. You have chosen GMT as your preferred time for Basic Combat Training. While we can assign you to our next GMT Training Platoon, it does not start until 2 October at 2PM EST and runs through 6 October. Alternatively, we can assign you to our next EST TP which begins 25 September at 7PM EST and runs through 29 September.

Please respond here with your preferences for each of the above so we can continue processing your enlistment.

  1. First name: Alex, Last name: Mason
  2. Is there a member with the prefix A. Mason within the unit? If so, would it be possible to add a nickname/middle name to said prefix for example [ A. “Rook” Mason ]
  3. I don’t mind waiting until 2 October for training since I have a job & college at 7PM EST. Is there a complete schedule of Basic Combat Training? Since Indonesia is GMT+7 and EST+11, I would like to align training times with my daily activities so that I can attend more often.

Hey Recruit,

  1. You will be referred to as A. Mason if you stick with the initial, we do not use a nickname system.
  2. The schedule options for BCT is as follows:
  • 2pm EST October 2nd through October 6th
  • 9pm PST October 2nd through October 6th
  • 7pm EST September 25th through September 29th

These are the available times and dates, please confirm which one would allow you to make the most days possible.
Also please confirm you are fine with going by just “A. Mason”

  1. I am fine with “A. Mason”
  2. Before I confirm my schedule, how long will each BCT session last?

Each BCT session will last around an hour. @Mason

Then I will attend the BCT schedule for 2pm EST

If you do not understand time zones well, here is a link to a time zone converter, the link already has a preset EST and GMT time zone depending on what link you’ll click. To find the time difference click, ‘Add another city or time zone’ and type in a city near you that shares your time zone and add it. For example if I picked Los Angeles, which is a city on the west coast of America, I can see something scheduled at 7pm EST happening at 4pm PDT.
