Promotion and Award (Sam J. Dixson)

Sgt. Dawdy said:

PFC Dixson has been a familiar face among the members of DP3. A long standing member of DP3S3, PFC Dixson has always shown great attitude and initiative that solidified his squad’s performance even on rainy days. More notably, he has recently taken on the mantle of leadership and stepped up as the ASL of DP3S3 after (at-the-time) Cpl. Folmer retired. Since then, he has impressed both myself and other members of leadership from his sheer commitment to improving himself as a leader. His diligence is most seen in his initiative in holding down DP3S3, without being prompted, in the absence of his squad leader; without even completing SLT. Therefore, PFC Dixson’s number of chevrons is no longer appropriate in light of his skill and dedication to his fellow members of the 29th, hence an additional chevron is required. Congratulations Corporal Dixson on your promotion!
