Pemberton since he first came to the unit as a fresh and wide eyed recruit as his enlistment liaison. Since following him through his BCT journey and his placement in my squad I have been nothing other than amazed. From showing up to every drill (and I mean every drill. The boy is the new Cpl. Baerentzen with that perfect attendance since his first day at BCT) with a fantastic attitude and a willingness to learn, to making jokes with his other squad members and giving it as good as he takes it (even if taking it means getting shot by his teammates while he begs for his life), he has become a keystone member of FP2S1. With that being said, It is with my aforementioned honour, as well as the honour of Cpl. Magatagan and the rest of FP2, that we may award this promising up and comer with his Expert Infantry Badge, his Rifle Marksman Badge, as well as the promotion from a lowly Private to the official member rank of PFC.
