With 2024 coming to a close, I’m very happy with what we’ve been able to accomplish within DP3. We’ve conducted our first Clash of the Titans competition, pivoting AIT vs AIT in a peer competition and establish which is the “best” AIT. While working alongside our squad leadership and platoon members to not only publish two additional doctrines for anyone in the company to utilize, but also publish an autobiographical article for the pleasure of the entire regiment to enjoy. We certainly wouldn’t have been able to accomplish these goals without the support of our platoon, but most of all, I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish the various goals throughout the year without SSgt. Lord’s support. One of the harder skills to acquire in leadership is not the ability to accomplish everything on your own, but to delegate and trust that another may do so in your stead. I know DP3 wouldn’t be where its at today, and it can be contributed to SSgt. Lord’s investment to our community. As always “Stick Around ” - Alan “Dutch” Schaefer.
