9/10 - An underrated performer and blues artist. Some, of whom I am among, consider him one of the best. Alongside Gerry McAvoy (bassist) the sound was sublime.
After recent international events I was reminded of lyrics from a(n) (old) band which I think had great influence on a generation; for all you '90s punk rock aficionados:
Joe Cocker - "With a Little Help from My Friends" gets a 10/10 from me. Excellent voice, instrumentation, harmonies and melody performed with lots of energy, passion and soul. One of my favorite cover songs of all time. It's very different from The Beatles original version, but it's equally as great (and some would argue it's even better).
Nico - Nibelungen
All expected jokes aside or whatever, I have quite literally in my life, never heard a song as beautiful as this Nico one. It's what I would love to die to. Just listen to the haunted vocals...it's, indescribable.
