If you’ve been paying attention in the last few months, you know that Lighthouse has undergone many changes under the leadership of its new chief, 2Lt. Ericksen. While many aspects of Lighthouse have been radically changed, the office is still recognizable for its success in preparing members to enter the unit. The reforms the office has undergone have not been without struggle and adaptation, and without the guiding hand of 2Lt. Ericksen these reforms would not have been possible at all.
While there were quite a few medals awarded to members of his staff a few weeks ago for their contributions to his project, we must also recognize the 2Lt. himself for his role as leader of the office and the manager of the project’s many intricate moving parts. In recognition for his massive commitment to the unit through his time and effort in the Lighthouse reform project, 2Lt. Ericksen is receiving the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Congratulations.
