Five Years and Six Months of Service (Calvin E. Reimer)

The greatest honor and privilege I have had in my career as a 29ther has been being charged with the upkeep and stewardship of Dog Company, Third Platoon, Fourth Squad. She is an old, deep-rooted squad. Her’s is a history that spans far beyond her formation. Being both the youngest and oldest member of the Harem, PFC Reimer has seen a lot in his time here. He’s been around for the creation of additional squads, even platoons. Never to stand idly by, he’s had an indelible impact on Dog Company through his work in Engineering Corps. He’s pushed the role of Crewman to it’s absolute limits and led the way for younger AIT members as a textbook example of proficiency with one’s assigned weaponry. Most importantly though, he has helped to foster and nurture a culture within this damned jungle of a squad that has been able to have been called home by so many young soldiers. We love you Reimer. Here’s to five and a half years and eleven AOCC’s. May your vines be strong and your bananas plentiful. NEVER FORGET!
