I was introduced to the 29th during the covid lockdown by Sgt. Tilley in a random server going on three years ago. After BCT, I fell in love with the RS2, my squad, and my fast friends from all the other squads and platoons. My then ASL, Cpl. Zylath and SL, Sgt. Lord took me right in. I had the online community I had dreamed of and was able to have fun with friends almost anytime of the day. Even now, it has been nothing but a good time at every turn. I eventually became ASL of DP3S1 with Sgt. Zylath as my SL and I couldn’t have been happier. In my eyes, he had no equal in leadership, charisma, or coordination. He taught me so much in such a small amount of time. I couldn’t be more thankful for all his help and other SL’s in DP3. I could go on about the rest of my squad all day as well. A determined group of solid dudes that have stuck around for many years and probably many more to come. I’ll miss them, especially Cpl. Capwell, a man after my own heart concerning flying cobras and assisting in leading the squad. I feel like I’m letting them all down by departing. But I’m fighting the good fight to get my hours back to normal from my current job. I hope by the time the new year comes around it will be back to normal and I can come back. I will miss you DP3, even if it’s for a short time. Thank you for all the fun and friendships. |
