When I was first introduced to the 29th, it all seemed a bit too serious for me. I was impressed by how well everyone worked together but was unsure if I could fit in with such a disciplined unit. I was quickly dissuaded from this feeling, and came to realize the friendship and fun that happened on a daily basis during drills, or just in TeamSpeak. DP3S1 made me feel welcome and ushered me into the culture of their squad with ease. I got to have fun while playing a game I loved and was extremely thankful for it. When I was put into SLT I was again given an unsure feeling with all of the new things to learn and the seemingly daunting task of upholding a squad. I instead was made to realize what I was capable of and given a confidence boost by those around me and the squad I became ASL of. DP3S4 allowed me to see the full scale of the 29th and the evermore amount of fun you can have if you put in the effort and care. All in all, the 29th has taught me more about myself while also being an environment of respect and fun that I looked forward to doing during the workday. I’ll miss the friendships I was allowed to have and that fun I was able to be a part of more than anything else. But with Harambe in my heart, I will never forget! Thanks for being such an awesome group!
