It has been a blast for me to be in the 29th, It’s weird for me to think about how much time I’ve spent here as it’s felt like it’s gone by pretty quickly. Ironically, joining the 29th and enjoying my time in leadership here has probably, in part, caused me to leave it as I’d like to continue that leadership experience in the marine’s OCS. I’ve learned a ton of very valuable lessons here that I’ll be taking for the rest of my life, and I’m appreciative of all the leadership here who was patient with me and taught me how to be better. TSgt. Minor has practically been my leader forever, and some of those early drills where he was my SL are some of my favorites to look back on. I’ve loved the people here in EP2 Cpl. Sabith, Sgt Greene, Cpl. Gunn, Cpl. Horril and 1Lt have definitely been a great core of leadership to be around, and I always felt great leading with you guys. Of course I have had the pleasure of having some amazing ASLs like Burlock and my most recent ASL Cpl. MacNevin, you guys have been amazing, and I honestly have no idea what possessed you to do all of my paperwork so aggresivly. MacNevin, I know you’ll mold the squad into something great; I’ve been very happy to have you as my ASL, and from your first day, I always felt you pushed me to be better so I could have something to teach you. I really enjoyed the experiments we’ve run our squad through in trying to make it better. There are a ton of other people I have loved being with; of course, there are many members of S3 who have come and gone and were wonderful to have with me, and I really appreciate you guys. Anyway, I’ve had tons of great memories from the 29th, like close clutches and winning scrims that I can look back on, but above all, I’ve really loved just playing games with my friends. Thank you all for letting me squad lead for a bit and best of luck.
