Although I have not had much relevance in the 29th for many years, I felt inclined to post a final farewell for those from my era who are still with the unit and those who have departed before me. I am proud to say I was a member of the 29th for the better part of 9 years. Although I did not have a chance to join the 29th during the early years, I am grateful to have found the unit in RO2 and am proud to have been one of the first to expand into Squad. The expansion to Squad was an exciting time for the 29th and all those involved in the transition did a phenomenal job laying the groundwork for what is today. To see where the unit is now after all these years is a testament to the hard work and effort that is continually put into this unit. I will remember the 29th and the great times had by many. The first EBOTS competition where I was fortunate to lead EP2S1 was a highlight of my time here. Fielding such an awesome group was a breeze and the victory was well earned by everyone in the squad, “scary good” was a good way to sum it up. Leaving EP2S1 and commissioning to 2nd Lieutenant in this unit was a surprise to me and a challenge I am thankful to have had. Being the Platoon Leader of EP2 was challenging but an incredible experience. I was fortunate to lead arguably some of the best soldiers the 29th has ever had. The EP2 vs 7th Cavalry and 3rd Ranger Battalion Official Scrimmage will be a highlight of my time in the 29th. Winning our attack round and winning the scrimmage after several weeks of preparation was a rewarding experience and was well deserved by everyone. I will also never forget the EP2 vs EP3 rivalries pushing everyone to their limits. Creating the Public Affairs Office and bringing the 29th back to streaming was also a highlight for me and it is good to see the notifications pop up on my Twitch that the 29th is live. Unfortunately some major life events forced me out of a leadership position and into a staff position. I was excited for the opportunity to be the Battalion S-1 and S-3 but unfortunately life only got busier and my attention and effort was not entirely focused.

Like all good things, they must come to an end, and for me, my 29th career has come to a close. There are too many people I would thank from the years, you know who you are. From Squad Leaders to Platoon Sergeants, thank you for your dedication and assistance over the years. For those active in the unit, enjoy your time here. This is a fantastic community to be apart of and you will get back what you put in. I will continue to keep my eyes on the unit for years to come.

Ever Forward.
