The past four and a half years that I spent here in the 29th were nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From joining the unit and barely managing avoiding getting lost with all the people around to spending time trying to make that introductory period as easy as possible for the new guys, and constantly trying to one-up myself, and everyone around, and bringing that knowledge to them as well. Playing games outside of drills with the friends that I met, meeting some of them IRL (and even getting beat up together!) are all things I didn’t really expect I’d be part of when I signed up. |
