To DP2S2: My time with the 29th has been an experience. For much of it, I have felt like I was only a voice, my current and past squadmates have shown me that I was more than that. You showed me love, friendship, and true compassion. You taught me many anecdotes and lessons that both strengthened me, and helped me grow within my career in the Marine Corps. 2020 was by far one of the darkest years in my life, you gents helped me through that darkness more so than anyone else I know, and for that, I am ever in your favor. I wish I could have had more time with you, however, it was not meant to be for this chapter. I love you guys, thank you for being my friends. You know how I feel about each of you lads individually, and know that I am so very, very grateful to have known you few and faithful. |
