It’s been a year. Really? A year? This dude has been missing his World Series game for a whole 12 months now. At the expense of Fleming’s dignity, let me tone shift away from comedy and into sickly-sweet. Rarely does a fresh private come to their SL saying that they want to be the best shot in the unit warrant anything other than a pat on the head and an encouraging hand on the shoulder. Everybody wants to be good, but we all know how hard it is to be the best. Fleming was not satisfied with that response. In one year’s time, he has secured himself a spot as DP3 Junior Platoon Sniper. He has made it a point to train multiple riflemen in DP3S1. He has managed make himself known as a force of destruction in DP3. And he has done it all with a smile on his face and a ballcap on his head. Fleming, you have helped make the experience of DP3S1 leadership over the past year an utter joy. The vigor with which you pursue your goals is astounding, and the way you consistently share that passion with the rest of the squad is inspiring. Never stop reaching forward. One year from now, let’s look back on even greater accomplishments. Congratulations on your 2nd AOCC.
