Promotion and Award (Furkan Akbulut)

SSgt. Bagge said:

For most of my tenure as Platoon Sgt of EP1 and EP4 i have known PFC Akbulut as the silent tank killer he is or used to be since he has gone off to do different more impactful things. For a long time he trucked on slaying tanks but one day he decided i want to boss people around so he expressed interest in SLT. We happily obliged and soon he found himself as Cpl. Jergulson’s right hand man, together they have led S3 into improving and we int platoon HQ are happy with his progress so much so that we will award him with his Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon and a well deserved second chevron and a promotion to Corporal. Congratulations Cpl. Akbulut

Well done Corporal, congratulations on your promotion!

Congrats my favorite türk çocuğu!

Congratulations!!

Cpl. Akbulut and I have been hanging out a lot. At times I speak with him more often than with the wife (though no one can compete with Pvt. Mittens in pure conversational volume). As a result, I could say many good things about my dear ASL. I will however limit myself to one. The switch from a highly skilled roaming HAT man to the very different role of directing HAT soldiers and staying alive to the end is not easy. The good Cpl. did this seemingly effortlessly, though I know he sometimes must just itch to have the weapon himself to put in that perfect shot. Transition, change and growth are all ways to measure a man, and by these metrics the Cpl. has impressed indeed. Congratulations Cpl.! Well deserved!
