Pvt. Yao has been a stellar private from day 1. When I first met Yao, he was a member of EP3S2. He had shown up to a battalion drill, but none of his squad was there. I had him join my squad, and we proceeded to take part in one of the most brutal infantry attacks I’ve seen in the 29th. This didn’t discourage Yao, because I got a glimpse of his potential after dying and leaving him on his own the next round. A badly injured Yao went on to kill two defenders and take an objective for the win, using local communication with nearby leadership. Since then, Yao has just kept going. He’s as reliable as riflemen get, and he’s somebody I always believe in when rounds are getting close. I’m thankful Yao was able to find a home in EP3S1, and I can’t wait to watch him grow as a PFC. Congrats, Yao!
