Promotion and Badge (Mike N. Red)

Sgt. McArdle said:

There is much to say about PFC M. Red’s capabilities as a PFC. This is a monumental task for anyone, meaning I can only put the spotlight on a select few. The ones that come immediately to mind for anyone who has walked into Red’s life are communication, initiative, expertise, cleverness, and gab. Countless times, these skills point to his superb performance as a sniper. All it takes for me to realize his prominence is to hear the crack of a rifle above my head, followed by the soothing words “Got him.” The ease and straightforwardness of demeanor behind such a phrase serve as a simple reminder of Red’s natural force on the field. Upon stepping into the battle, PFC M. Red embodies what it means to be a boulder in a river. A dictator of events, the boulder forces the river to react, creating a flow that responds to his presence—putting his enemies on their back legs. PFC M. Red also adapts to the river by understanding the ebb and flow of battle. With this knowledge, Red makes the best out of any situation—often turning moments of desperation into a much-needed clutch. PFC M. Red has put an extraordinary amount of effort into his craft, and with that, platoon HQ deems that the rank of PFC is no longer fitting and the lack of badge a pitiful sight. PFC M. Red, I am honored to award you your Sniper Marksman Badge and a promotion to the rank of T/5. Congratulations, T/5 M. Red!
