I remember taking Pvt. Neilson through BCT and not really being sure about where he might end up and how long he might be here. Hell, I wasn’t too sure of how well he might perform. A few days after I saw that he was assigned to EP3S1, and while at first, he was quiet he slowly came out of his shell. Soon enough he was running around in drills, dropping bodies left and right, communicating with the rest of the squad as if it were second nature. He has without a doubt been one of those folks that fit right in. Now he gets together with his squad members to get a good pub session in before drills, and also bugs me occasionally to join them. Despite having only been here for about three months, it’s kinda hard to remember back to when we didn’t have Pvt. Neilson in our squad, and quite frankly that is a pretty big indicator to me that he no longer needs those Private tags, it’s time for an upgrade; Congratulations PFC Neilson, I can’t wait to see how far you go!
