I can say with unabashed admiration that Cpl. Vargas has been a squad leader after my own heart. Not only does he lead his squad in excellence both on and off the field but he also has taken to his role in the 29th with a charismatic demeanor that, what I believe, exemplifies what this unit is at its best. I can trust him to lead his fellow members be it in his own squad, a team leader for the platoon, or as a guest with measured vigilance. Cpl. Vargas not only takes it upon himself to ensure that everyone is adhering to the guidelines set forth by his leadership but also that those he leads are ultimately enjoying their time here. He has a charismatic personality that I and many other can and will attest to. He is genuinely a good soul for he can not be found wanting in all aspects of his kindness and willingness to learn and adapt. It is with great pleasure and esteem that I be the first to welcome Sgt.
