For someone that took a long time to come around to the idea of being a Platoon Sgt., Sgt. Vos has sure taken to it like Bigfoot to Salmon. Coming home on a cold Albertan night, Sgt. Vos found that he had lost power AND that his generator was on the fritz. Of course, he went to correct the most pressing issue - attending drills; not his wife’s half cooked dinner or the heating of their abode, but drills. Being an ever resourceful Canadian he ran his longest extension cord from his computer to all the way out to his truck. But the suck of Arma proved to be too much at first. After several attempts and several prayers to the Arma gods, Sgt. Vos was able to run his computer FROM HIS TRUCK in his cold house with the only warmth being the glare of his wife. This is just one of the many examples showing Sgt. Vos’ ultimate commitment to the 29th. And he has turned that commitment into fuel to become a skilled Platoon Sgt. Lending his time, experiences, advice, and wit to navigating any situation big or small; he has truly helped shape CP1 into the capable Platoon it is today and I would not have it any other way. Ensuring that standards are met, discipline upheld, and that all CP1 drills are a no fun zone
he has filled the void left by TSgt. Halls in Platoon HQ, all while keeping me in check.
Sgt. Vos, a true veteran NCO both in word and action, has made it clear he has outgrown his three chevrons, so it’s only right we give him a fourth. Congratulations and well earned SSgt. Vos.
