PFC L. Lachman or Big L as he is known by almost nobody came to EP1 one as a wee recruit, he didn’t say much and kept his head down. He became PFC and when the call for SLT came around he signed up. He faced a lot of changes and challenges in SLT. The standards are very high and within EP1 we really put the SLT candidates to the test. He had to learn quick and after some growing pains he became a good candidate. Towards the end of SLT he faced a big challenge and that was being SL of his Squad. He was once again faced with the added pressure of finishing SLT and maintaining his Squad to a high level. He was alone, leading the Squad while still learning the ropes. He managed this very well, so I am glad to see him finish SLT and finally get promoted to Cpl.
