Where to begin on what T/5 Scovel has done for Dog Company. I could not imagine what Dog Company would look like or be with the efforts of T/5 Scovel here. He has brought so much content and life back into RS2, where the developers stopped Scovel took up. He has fixed, altered, and rotated out numerous maps for the members to use. He compiled and set up a database for our maps with pictures, and information about the maps, and what does and does not work on them. This single document changed the way the entirety of Dog company planned and made drills. It went form a guessing game of is this the map I want to being able to plan things much more thoroughly and give leadership a better idea, and execution of drill ideas that they want to see. He worked tirelessly to get GOM 3, and GOM 4 to work on our severs two very large overhaul mods for the game at quick flip of a switch. He would also go and dissect Winter War, a total conversion mod that changes the game to soviets vs Finish. We have to ability to use assets from the mod in “standard” RS2, so if we wanted to have tanks, AT guns, or Maxim guns would could, or if we wanted to fight over Finland, and have our own cold war gone hot we could as well. He has also provided the ability to spawn assets from the game, with several different mutators that he has come up with. One called the command menu or cmenu allows us to move members, spawn vehicles, weapons, emplacements, sandbags, ammo crates, and much more. And to top it all off. When he had to leave to go to school he asked if he could go to reserves, so that he could still help those in the community with his roles in medical. The amount of time and effort that T/5 Scovel has put into helping those around him, and trying to make the community a better place is enormous, and I cannot understate the impact that he has had to Dog Company. T/5 Scovel has acted as our de facto tech support of anything and everything RS2 related, whether that be the mutators he has made or just the game itself seeing as he’s become so familiar with it through his work. T/5 Scovel has saved multiple drills from just not happening by quick fixing mutators for people. As well as assisting DI staff with squaring away new recruits who have problems with our mutators. Top that of with the several guides he has written for using mutators efficiently and understanding what they can do and I cannot overstate how useful it is to have him around. The amount we are able to do because of him, and with how much he has done for us. He has fundamentally changed how we do drills in Dog Company. I can not think of how we would operate in dog with out such a critical part of what we do here. He has brought so much joy to so many, and should be reward for all the hard work and dedication that he has brought forth over the years. It feels only appropriate to promote you to Technician, 4th Grade. Congratulations T/4 Scovel.
