Cpl. Buckeye has been a squad leader for nearly three years, in this time he has learned and improved his craft becoming a better leader. I have enjoyed watching him improve as a leader, becoming evermore knowledgeable and impactful to those around him. His squad runs like a well-oiled machine and consistently shows improvement. I have recently spent extra time with Cpl. Buckeye and have come to the realization he is an entirely different person than when he first joined. He represents himself as an experienced leader and that is because he is. For a member with his knowledge and experience, he is proven to be a more senior squad leader. He shows countless times that he not only understands how to lead a squad but can also teach others as well. With all of this, the rank of corporal is no longer fitting to this member and thus he is being promoted to sergeant. Congratulations, Sgt. Buckeye.
