When you are first noticed for good things, sometimes you are not always noticed for the great things. PFC Van Wyk here has been our steadfast and dedicated drill instructor, holding the ideals of the 29th in high regard while dealing with the new bloods is not an easy task for anybody. His outstanding results in this role benefited the unit and made us stronger. One of the great things some of us recall is that he willfully gave up the grenade launcher AIT to focus on helping the squad with paperwork and platoon duties as our Platoon Clerk, easily something more than what a model PFC would do. For all his efforts in aiding CP2, he is no longer a PFC - he is now a Technician 5th Grade! Congratulations to T/5 Van Wyk, well earned and Ever Forward.
